Know What This Site Can and Cannot Do for You

Every page of this site, this one included, links to six independent gambling-help organisations. They appear in the help links block on this page, the same block found on every other page:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • GAM STOP
  • NCPG

These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow one. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout the site, including on the front page.

This site cannot help you stop gambling. It has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch on, check or enforce any limit or break from play. Deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are settings you arrange inside your own account at the gambling destination. No gambling takes place here, and nobody's age is verified on this site. Any age check happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at you based on how you have behaved.

Set Your Terms Before the First Bet

  • Decide the amount before you start. A limit set in advance is made with a clear head. A limit set mid-session is made under the pull of the last result.
  • Treat that amount as already spent. If you count it as the cost of entertainment, losing it does not feel like a debt you need to recover.
  • Never chase a loss. Each bet stands alone. Raising stakes to win back money only increases how much you can lose, and how fast.
  • Keep borrowed money out of it. Gambling with credit or loans turns a lost evening into repayments that last far longer.
  • Take regular breaks. Time away interrupts the momentum of play and lets you check whether you are still enjoying it.

Bring Someone In Early

Gambling can stop being entertainment. You might hide it, think about it constantly, or feel you need to win something back. When that happens, tell someone you trust sooner rather than later. Problems are easier to handle before they grow.

Any of the independent organisations listed above is a place to look for help. You can reach each one through the help links on this page.
